Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years of hands-on Java software development
• 5+ years of hands-on Scala programming development
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and OpenShift
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
• Ability to obtain T4 Public Trust clearance
• Residence in United States for 3 of last 5 years

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Scala and related technologies
• Create robust and scalable APIs and ensure efficient data processing
• Collaborate with teams on system architecture and performance optimization
• Work with Git version control and Maven build tooling
• Write comprehensive unit tests and ensure software reliability
• Engage in code reviews and design reviews
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge
