Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build scalable backend microservices. The role focuses on cloud-native architectures and modern tech stacks in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will design, develop, and maintain Java/Kotlin microservices, deploy to AWS with Docker/Kubernetes, and help drive CI/CD and engineering best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of Java development experience
• Experience with microservices, Spring, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Kotlin microservices
• Build high-throughput backend systems and APIs
• Deploy and support applications in AWS using Docker and Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems
• Contribute to architecture, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
