Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a SCADA Technical Project Manager for a remote, 1-year contract focused on owners representation for renewable energy projects including BESS and PV installations.

The role requires heavy leadership in engineering, software development, and lifecycle management of SCADA, PLC, HMI, and plant control systems with a focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years managing and commissioning renewable SCADA and control systems.
• Expert knowledge of Ignition SCADA, PLC programming, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, CAN, RTUs, historians, and industrial networking.
• Experience with BESS, PV, and hybrid plants and utility interconnections.
• Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, firewalls, and industrial switches.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of SCADA, PLC, RTU, HMI, networking, and plant control system projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, contractors, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and third-party vendors.
• Develop, review, and optimize PLC programs using Schneider M340/M580 and similar platforms.
• Oversee SCADA integration using Ignition, OPC, historians, RTACs, and networks.
• Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, PPA, LGIA, and performance testing.
• Review electrical, communication, networking, and control system drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical leadership for SCADA architecture and control strategies.
• Establish coding standards, documentation, configuration management, cybersecurity practices, and version control.
• Provide technical troubleshooting for PLCs, RTUs, protection relays, inverters, meters, networking equipment, and fiber optic systems.
• Report project status, risks, milestones, and corrective actions to management.
