Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an SBA Manager Sales Support to lead a team of Sales Support Specialists in remote positions across eligible states, including North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia, Texas, or Utah.

You will review financial information, evaluate SBA eligibility, prepare loan documents, and drive client service excellence while coaching team members and partnering with leadership to meet departmental goals and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years' lending or underwriting, operations, or sales experience, or High School Diploma with 8 years' experience.
• Knowledge of SBA SOPs, loan eligibility, and credit criteria.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software (BOSS, RIMS, Cognos).
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Experience interacting with clients, lenders, and referral partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Sales Support Specialists while managing performance, training, and workflow priorities.
• Partner with leadership to drive process improvements and achieve departmental goals.
• Support SBA Lenders, Referral Partners, and clients by resolving inquiries, managing escalations, and ensuring a high level of service.
• Identify sales opportunities through client interactions, analysis, and support activities.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess SBA eligibility, creditworthiness, and lending risk.
• Conduct pre-screening reviews and provide recommendations to support lending decisions.
• Prepare and review required loan documentation, including term sheets, authorizations, financial verifications, and SBA forms.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Bank and SBA requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on SBA programs, lending processes, and bank systems.
• Identify workflow efficiencies, provide troubleshooting support, and promote best practices across the team.
