Job summary

Muon Space seeks an Operations and Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design automation solutions for spacecraft and ground stations, monitor health, and maintain our satellite fleet in orbit.

This role can be performed remotely from an approved location, with opportunities to work alongside engineers across disciplines. You will analyze telemetry, troubleshoot anomalies, and coordinate maneuvers to optimize performance and longevity of our fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project or industry experience operating or automating complex systems.
• Experience with Python, Julia, or another high-level scripting language.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement automation solutions for spacecraft and ground station operations.
• Collaborate with engineers to execute satellite operation plans and maintain continuity of satellite services.
• Analyze telemetry data and satellite health reports to assess performance and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot anomalies and restore satellite functionality promptly.
• Plan and coordinate satellite maneuvers to optimize positions and performance.
