Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. seeks a Satellite Operator to join our Operations team in San Jose, California. You will execute satellite operation procedures, monitor health, analyze telemetry, and coordinate with engineers to perform on-orbit activities.

This onsite role requires joining a 5x per week office schedule and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure mission continuity and satellite longevity.

Qualifications

• Experience operating satellites or similar complex systems.
• Ability to analyze telemetry data and diagnose issues.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Execute satellite operations procedures and monitor health and safety of the on-orbit fleet.
• Collaborate with engineers to execute operation plans and maintain continuity of satellite services.
• Analyze telemetry data and health reports to assess performance and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot anomalies and restore system functionality promptly.
• Execute satellite maneuvers including orbit corrections and station-keeping.
• Support commissioning of new satellites and transition from launch to operations.
