Job summary

Reflect Orbital is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to own day-to-day spacecraft operations and build the operational infrastructure that keeps our fleet running. You’ll monitor spacecraft health, plan maneuvers, and coordinate ground station passes while writing and refining procedures.

The role involves developing automation, validating procedures, and collaborating with spacecraft engineering to define CONOPS and fault management. A strong background in Python/C++ and Linux is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Aerospace, Electrical, CS).
• 3+ years in satellite mission operations or related work.
• Strong programming in Python and/or C++; Linux fluency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time telemetry and subsystem health.
• Investigate on-orbit anomalies; document findings to improve fleet reliability.
• Plan and execute spacecraft maneuvers and ground station passes.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and automation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on CONOPS and fault management.
• Support 24/7 shift operations for mission readiness.
