Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking a Technical Course Developer to design and deliver technical training for SATCOM and military systems. The position is remote with eligible locations in the DMV area and several US states. Requires active Secret clearance and 8+ years in training development, plus strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience developing technical training programs.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, SATCOM, IT, or military programs.
• Experience developing instructor‑led, virtual, and self-paced trainings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and identify training requirements.
• Develop learning objectives, curricula, instructional materials, and assessment strategies.
• Apply ISD principles and NATO Systems Approach to Training (NSAT) methodologies throughout the training lifecycle.
• Develop training programs for SATCOM systems, maintenance procedures, cybersecurity fundamentals, and system administration.
• Create training products including Student Guides, Instructor Guides, Master Lesson Plans, and Course Syllabi.
• Design SCORM‑compliant eLearning content, simulations, and online assessments.
• Develop performance-based assessments and certification programs.
• Ensure Course Control Documents support training strategies and criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering and logistics to integrate manuals and updates.
• Conduct reviews, pilot assessments, and quality assurance.
• Support Train-the-Trainer programs and instructor certifications.
