Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking a Technical Course Developer for a remote, full-time role. The position supports SATCOM and military systems, developing curriculum, eLearning content, and assessments while ensuring NATO training standards are met.

The role collaborates with engineering, logistics, and customer teams to deliver and sustain training programs, create comprehensive training products, and maintain alignment with system baselines and changes. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Instructional Design or a related field.
• Discipline examples include Educational Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Military Training Development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Training Needs Analysis (TNA) activities and identify training requirements.
• Develop learning objectives, curricula, instructional materials, and assessment strategies.
• Apply ISD principles and NATO NSAT methodologies throughout the training lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain technical training programs covering SATCOM and related operations.
• Create Student Guides, Instructor Guides, Master Lesson Plans, Course Syllabi, and accompanying materials.
• Design and develop SCORM-compliant eLearning content, simulations, and microlearning modules.
• Develop performance-based assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations.
• Create Course Control Documents (CCD II/III) to support training plans and criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering and logistics to integrate manuals and procedures into training.
• Conduct training material reviews, pilot course assessments, and QA activities.
• Support Train-the-Trainer programs and instructor certification events.
