Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Device & Work Management Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Device and Work Management solutions for utilities clients in the United States. You will own the device and work management workstream, define the functional approach, and ensure alignment with metering and field operations, driving solution quality and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including device/work management, meter reading, or related field processes.
• 3+ years leading a functional workstream or team.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Device and Work Management workstream from discovery to post-go-live stabilization.
• Define the functional design for device lifecycle management, meter reading, field service, work execution, and controls.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analyses, solution workshops, and design reviews.
• Drive end-to-end integration with AMI, MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, SAP Plant Maintenance, and mobile solutions.
• Oversee device and field-work processes, including device lifecycle, meter reading, service orders, field execution, and handoffs.
• Manage cross-workstream dependencies and ensure alignment across end-to-end processes.
• Develop functional specifications, design decisions, and configuration standards.
• Lead functional consultants and coordinate vendor teams for timely resolution.
• Oversee testing and defect resolution for meter-to-cash processes and handoffs.
• Manage scope, estimates, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder decisions.
