Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a seasoned Financial Operating Systems professional to oversee SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments, ensure SOX controls, and drive financial system improvements across global finance teams.

You will partner with Accounting, FP&A, AR, AP, Tax and IT, translate business requirements into functional specs, validate FICO configurations, and lead testing, deployment, and training for SAP-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred
• 6+ years of relevant experience in financial systems or SAP finance roles, preferred
• Deep expertise in SAP FI/CO and finance functional processes
• Strong understanding of finance process integration with OTC, PTP (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Be part of a high-performing team with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily operations and stability of SAP environments (S/4HANA and ECC).
• Manage and deliver complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT and global teams.
• Identify milestones, gather requirements, review specs, ensure SAP integration.
• Validate SAP FICO configurations across GL, AR/AP, cash, and inventory valuation.
• Design, test, and support deployment and cutover activities for SAP financial solutions.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions, design reviews, and solution workshops.
• Rationalize SAP design to meet Finance business needs.
• Create and optimize financial reports; leverage automation.
• Oversee month-end activities and SOX controls.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
