Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an experienced Financial Operating Systems (FOS) professional to oversee SAP environments (S/4HANA and ECC) and validate FI/CO configurations, ensuring integration with OTC, PTP, and Vistex. This role supports SOX compliance and robust financial reporting.

You will collaborate with Finance, EIT, and global business units on complex SAP projects, drive testing strategies, and lead month-end activities to maintain accuracy and controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in financial systems or SAP finance roles.
• Deep expertise in SAP FI/CO and finance processes.
• Strong understanding of finance integration with OTC and PTP.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a high-performing team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily operations and stability of SAP environments including SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
• Manage and deliver complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and business units across global locations.
• Identify milestones, gather requirements, review specs, and ensure integration across SAP modules.
• Validate SAP FICO configurations and ensure coverage across GL, AR/AP, cash/bank, master data, product costing, inventory valuation, intercompany and OTC/PTP integration.
• Design and execute testing strategies; support deployment, training and cutover activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions, design reviews, and solution workshops.
• Rationalize SAP design decisions to meet finance needs and simplification opportunities.
• Create, troubleshoot, and optimize financial reports to meet requirements.
• Leverage automation to improve financial processes.
• Oversee month-end activities and SOX controls testing.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and clear direction to team members.
• Demonstrate strong follow-through and multitasking in a mission-driven environment.
