Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a seasoned SAP Finance professional to join the Financial Operating Systems team. You will oversee SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements across GL, AR/AP, and costing.

You will collaborate with global Finance and IT teams to implement scalable SAP solutions. The role requires deep SAP FI/CO expertise, strong accounting knowledge, and experience in SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• Deep expertise in SAP FI/CO and finance functional processes.
• Strong understanding of finance process integration with OTC, PTP (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a high-performing team and foster accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily operations and stability of SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC).
• Manage and deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, operations, data teams, and IT across global locations.
• Identify milestones, gather requirements, review specs, and ensure SAP integration across modules.
• Validate SAP FICO configurations and ensure coverage across GL, AR/AP, cash management, master data, costing, inventory, intercompany, and OTC/PTP/Vistex integration.
• Design, develop, and execute testing strategies; support deployment and cutover activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment, design reviews, and solution workshops.
• Rationalize SAP design decisions to meet Finance needs and simplify where possible.
• Create, troubleshoot, and optimize financial reports to meet business requirements.
• Leverage automation to improve financial processes; oversee month-end closings and SOX controls.
