Job summary

Language Services Associates, Inc. is seeking a telephonic interpreter for Samoan in its network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will handle on-demand calls and facilitate communication for LEP communities across a variety of settings.

Ideal candidates are bilingual English/Samoan with technology savvy and a quiet, secure workspace. 1+ years of interpreting experience and industry certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Samoan.
• Technology proficient (web-based platforms, email, MS Word).
• An interpretable space that is quiet, secure and free from external noise.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)

• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining confidentiality.

Overview: As a telephonic interpreter for Samoan in LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you are responsible for handling telephone calls on demand and facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings.
