Job summary

Thunder is seeking a Technical Lead (Salesforce) to drive hands-on development and delivery across Salesforce initiatives. You will mentor a distributed team, translate architectures into concrete tasks, and ensure clean, scalable code shipped on schedule.

You’ll collaborate with Architects and Delivery leads, own deployment pipelines, and guide data migrations while upholding high standards of quality and performance. This role is remote-first with strong collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Salesforce consulting experience, with the most recent 2–3+ years as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer.
• 2–4+ years of experience managing or mentoring offshore/onshore development resources.
• 3+ years hands-on Lightning, LWC, Apex, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Salesforce API development.
• Strong understanding of the core Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) with awareness of broader Product Suite.
• Working knowledge of data integration patterns and tools (ERP, data warehouse, AWS, Azure, reporting).
• Strong understanding of Development Lifecycle, environment and release management, org strategy, branching strategies, and deployment methodologies (Git or Copado preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Salesforce certifications with willingness to pursue more (Platform Developer I & II, App Builder, Service/Experience Cloud; Architecture path).

Responsibilities

• Translate Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and designs from Architects into detailed low-level design, user stories, and development tasks.
• Write high-quality Apex, LWC, and integration code, and review team code to enforce standards, performance, and scalability.
• Manage and mentor offshore/onshore development resources and allocate work across the team.
• Refine user stories with Architect and Product/Delivery leads to flag technical feasibility risks before development begins.
• Execute data migration steps (mapping, transformation, load validation) as defined by the Data Architect and flag issues early.
• Participate in client design sessions and workshops, estimate effort, and surface risks to Architects/Delivery leads.
• Own environment and release management: branching strategy, deployment pipelines, and release calendars (Git/Copado).
• Triage bugs and escalate design-level issues to Architects when needed.
