Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable Salesforce solutions for IRS and federal programs in a remote capacity. You will collaborate with federal stakeholders to translate requirements into enterprise-grade architectures using Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Shield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Salesforce System Architect or Application Architect certification preferred.
• 5+ years architecting Salesforce solutions in complex environments.
• Experience on public sector or federal projects (IRS, DHS, DoD).
• Strong development with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Flows.
• Experience with MuleSoft integrations and API gateways.
• Familiarity with IRS 1075, NIST, FedRAMP.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with federal stakeholders and business teams to gather requirements and design end-to-end Salesforce solutions that align with IRS program goals and compliance mandates.
• Architect enterprise‑grade solutions using Salesforce Cloud products and Security features.
• Lead design sessions and oversee development in line with Salesforce best practices and federal security policies.
• Guide and review custom development using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Flows.
• Integrate Salesforce with legacy systems and third-party platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and MuleSoft.
• Oversee data modeling, role hierarchies, and access controls for compliant governance.
• Support secure mobile and desktop access to Salesforce per IRS standards.
• Evaluate Salesforce updates for applicability in the federal environment and lead adoption strategies.
• Mentor junior Salesforce developers and ensure governance and documentation.
