Job summary

Phoenix Team is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect to lead the design of Salesforce and AWS components, combining declarative configuration with Apex/Lightning development. Remote work from the U.S. and collaboration with product, testing, and infrastructure teams are integral to the role.

You’ll own sandbox strategies, metadata configuration, integration approaches, and governance alignment, ensuring security and compliance for federal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• 8 years total with an Associate’s Degree in lieu of a Bachelor's.
• 10 years total with a High School Diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's.
• Hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex and declarative).
• Experience producing Salesforce solution designs, including metadata configuration and sandbox strategy.
• Experience evaluating Salesforce integration approaches from multiple patterns.
• Experience with Salesforce data sharing and visibility models.
• Experience troubleshooting Salesforce performance issues and resolving metadata conflicts.
• Experience building or maintaining Salesforce test data factories and updating automated tests.
• Understanding federal compliance considerations for Salesforce (GovCloud/FedRAMP).
• Ability to take a holistic view of a project’s scope and cross-product impacts.
• Strong hands-on configuration, building, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Produce the solution design for Salesforce and AWS components of the environment.
• Determine sandbox type and sizing to support testing.
• Define the metadata configuration approach for the environment.
• Define the Salesforce refresh approach within governance.
• Define onboarding sequence for product groups into a shared environment.
• Serve as the technical interface with governance on sandbox provisioning.
• Support environment designation and naming decisions.
• Design Salesforce integration approaches for various interfaces.
• Apply data sharing and visibility models within the environment design.
• Troubleshoot Salesforce performance issues and metadata conflicts.
• Develop Salesforce test data factories and update automated tests.
• Maintain compliance with VA security standards and FedRAMP.
