Job summary

Ocean Optics is seeking a Sales Engineer for our Research and Science Business Germany (South), remotely based from Germany. The role leverages extensive sales and business development experience to advance Ocean Optics’ photonics solutions in research institutions, universities, and industry.

The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, travel across Germany, and engage with academics and engineers.

Qualifications

3+ years in technical sales within Research and Science markets.
Masters degree required.
Experience in Diagnostic industry is a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset with curiosity and willingness to challenge boundaries.
Self-starter with ability to work from home.
Strong interpersonal, communication and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

Define strategies and execute plans to win market share and accelerate growth in Research and Science sectors.
Disrupt customer thinking with Ocean Optics’ value proposition and build trusted advisor relationships.
Engage with academics and industry experts; attend tradeshows and conferences; develop a networking plan.
Upskill continuously with internal experts to stay ahead of opportunities.
Follow up and close leads; maintain accurate sales data in Salesforce and Dynamics 365.
Travel within Germany with occasional visits to the EMEA office; travel as needed.
