Job summary

LightRiver Technologies in Richardson, TX seeks a Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise across optical networking, software solutions, and professional services. You will collaborate with sales teams to position multi-vendor capabilities, evaluate customer requirements, and design scalable network architectures.

The role includes sizing solutions, delivering live demonstrations, and supporting customers remotely or onsite throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferred experience supporting or selling OEM optical/networking products.
• Intermediate knowledge of Optical Fiber Principles and Optical Network Design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to position LightRiver’s solutions including services.
• Assess customer requirements and design network architectures that meet objectives.
• Size and configure solutions including optical networks, NM Systems, and Prism automations.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations for hardware and software.
• Provide remote and onsite technical support during sales engagements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers ensuring proposed solutions meet operational needs.
• Lead and coordinate small to medium-scale network design projects.
• Assist sales in pricing, proposing, and SOW creation.
• Interface with other departments regarding product development and implementation.
