Job summary

PACKAGING TECHNOLOGIES & INSPECTION (PTI) is seeking a Sales Engineer to cover approximately half of the United States from a remote/hybrid basis, with periodic visits to PTI headquarters in Hawthorne, NY. You will own the complete sales cycle for your accounts, from discovery to closing, and collaborate with a Senior Sales Manager/Engineer who guides territory strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or an associate degree/technical certification with equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2+ years in a technical role such as field service, applications, test or process engineering, quality, validation, or laboratory work; prior sales experience is not required.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to scientists, engineers, and quality leaders.
• Drive to own customer relationships, carry a target, and close business.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 33%.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete sales cycle for assigned accounts, from prospecting to closing.
• Develop and present technical solutions and proposals.
• Negotiate terms and coordinate with contracts, engineering, and operations.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast in the CRM.
• Represent PTI at trade shows and customer events within the territory.
