Job summary

ESFM, the facilities management division of Compass Group USA, seeks a Remote Safety Manager to cut claims and lost-time injuries by delivering safety and workers' compensation support to local units. Responsibilities include training, site visits, policy implementation, measurement, and regular client communications.

The role requires conducting inspections, promoting ongoing safety programs, and ensuring OSHA and client compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing a variety of occupational health and safety programs.
• Ability to conduct investigations and evaluate cost and risk factors.
• Ability to interpret and apply a variety of laws, rules and regulations.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel 60%.

Responsibilities

• Ensures OSHA and other standards compliance via facility inspection.
• Maintains ongoing safety awareness programs for a safe work environment.
• Supports client administrative and incident investigations programs.
• Develops loss prevention and control programs with local teams.
• Provides training to managers on safe practices and compliance.
• Delivers monthly status reports to local management.
• Follows OSHA, DOT and EPA regs per laws and client policies.
• Monitors hazards and takes corrective action on-site.
• Participates in safety issue resolutions as required.
• Reviews injury data to locate hazards and recommend fixes.
• Trains management in investigations, inspections, and fire safety procedures.
