Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for Training Services. This remote role supports an East Coast schedule while serving a virtual US-wide workforce.

The RTE will drive SAFe practices across the ART, coach teams, and partner with stakeholders to optimize value delivery. Applicants should have 5+ years in RTE/SM/SAFe roles, SAFe certifications, and proven leadership in agile transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• SAFe SM or RTE certifications REQUIRED
• Minimum 5 years related experience in RTE/SM/SAFe
• Experience transitioning agile teams in SAFe
• 3 years supervisory/management experience
• Strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders
• Experience dashboards and metrics to communicate ART progress

Responsibilities

• Lead ART cadence: Syncs, Backlog Refinement, Demos, Inspect & Adapt, and PI Planning (remote or in-person)
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, System Architect, stakeholders
• Report on ART metrics and PI progress/impediments
• Mentor SMs and onboard new SMs
• Partner with Transformation Coach Agile CoE to reinforce execution standards
• Build high-performing SMs and establish mission for SMs
• Manage a team including hiring, training, coaching, evaluation, and resource allocations
