Job summary

Francisco Partners is seeking a Manager, Engineering Development to lead one or more product teams delivering a SaaS platform built primarily on Java and .NET. You will oversee delivery across the software lifecycle, ensure quality, and coordinate with Product Management.

The role requires strong technical leadership, people management, and operational discipline, balancing day-to-day execution with broader business and product priorities while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience managing a software development team in SaaS/enterprise environments.
• Experience with Java and/or .NET platforms and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, resource planning, capacity management, and delivery execution.
• Experience collaborating with Product Management, QA, Engineering, and other technical teams.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more product development teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Manage development work and priorities in Jira and coordinate requirements with Product Management.
• Drive resource and schedule alignment to identify capacity needs and optimize talent use.
• Partner with Product Managers, Technical Leads, QA, Cloud Operations, and cross-functional partners for coordinated execution.
• Contribute to roadmaps, milestones, and progress tracking for issues and risks.
• Champion AI adoption and AI-driven development practices to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to developers.
