Overview

The Office of Technology Services (OTS) was established to achieve cost savings through the consolidation of State IT assets and resources. OTS oversees a wide variety of hardware platforms, operating systems, database management systems, networks, third-party software, and custom applications.

OTS leads the State’s technology procurement process to standardize technology across the organization, improve operational efficiencies, and ensure scalability of new products introduced to the OTS suite of services. These services are eventually offered to all in-scope agencies.

Scope of Work

The scope involves managing various IT assets and supporting GIS technologies to enhance data management and decision-making capabilities for LaDOTD.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and modeling.
2. Building and maintaining GIS applications using scripting, geoprocessing, and other relevant tools.
3. Configuring, integrating, and optimizing GIS software and hardware.
4. Conducting spatial analysis and generating reports to support decision-making.
5. Providing technical assistance and training to client staff.
