Job summary

Symbotic seeks a ROC Operator for its Remote Operations team. You will remotely monitor automation system performance, coordinate with onsite teams, and escalate incidents to ensure uptime and efficiency of robotic material handling systems.

You should have at least 1 year of related experience and an associate or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or equivalent. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of related experience or equivalent work experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in computer, automation, warehousing, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
• Knowledge of automation, warehousing, and business processes, with ability to learn new equipment and system relationships.
• Ability to review system performance, recognize trends, troubleshoot issues, and use data for problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills with attention to detail and urgency.
• Ability to multitask and work across technical and operational teams independently.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor automation system performance and availability while maintaining active communication with onsite teams.
• Support local control center operations by accelerating workflows and coordinating responses to escalated incidents.
• Manage defined automation system use cases and determine actions to maintain uptime and performance.
• Assess automated robotic vehicle failures, examine log files, document findings, and alert service personnel.
• Troubleshoot software-related issues with off-site software engineers and onsite teams.
• Develop standard operating procedures, documentation, and best practices for ROC execution.
• Partner across technology, operations, and onsite teams to identify root causes and improve overall automation performance.
