Job summary

LVI Associates in Raleigh, NC seeks a Roadway Engineer (PE) to join its Transportation team on high-profile projects across the Southeast. This mid-to-senior role focuses on delivering roadway and design-build projects with collaboration across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 7–14 years of roadway design experience, an active PE license, and a proven ability to lead design efforts from concept through PS&E while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active PE license.
• 5+ years of roadway design experience.
• Experience with GDOT/SCDOT/NCDOT or local transportation projects.
• Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation or Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway and transportation infrastructure projects from concept through final design.
• Develop PS&E documents.
• Prepare alignments, profiles, cross sections, and layouts.
• Coordinate with bridge, drainage, traffic, and aviation teams.
• Support project delivery, scheduling, and client coordination.
• Ensure compliance with design standards.
• Perform quality control reviews and analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs.
• Participate in client meetings and project planning.
