Job summary

LVI Associates in Orlando, FL is seeking a Roadway PE with 3-10 years of experience to join our growing transportation team. The role focuses on leading roadway design projects and taking on ownership of tasks from concept through final design.

You will work on FDOT, expressway authority, municipal, and county transportation projects across Central Florida, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff, with clear paths toward Project Manager roles.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of roadway/highway design experience.
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
• Experience working on FDOT and/or Central Florida transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of roadway design standards and production.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Ability to independently manage design tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Interest in progressing toward a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support roadway design projects from concept through final design.
• Prepare and review roadway plans, specifications, estimates, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with drainage, traffic, structures, utilities, and other disciplines.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and QA/QC.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and designers.
• Communicate directly with clients and agency stakeholders.
• Assist with project pursuits, proposals, and future business development.
• Take on increasing Project Management responsibilities as experience develops.
