Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• P.E. license required; NC PE preferred; NC PE within first year of hire.
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
• Experience working on DOT design projects; multi-DOT experience a plus.
• 5 years of project management experience preferred.
• Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM/PM software experience.
• MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for scope, fees, and profitability of projects and a portfolio.
• Point person with clients while functioning as project manager.
• Assists in new sales with clients for projects being managed.
• Guides and coordinates internal transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
• Maintains PMI knowledge areas across project phases.
• Assists Deputy Operations Manager in PM best practices.
• On larger projects, PM may not be involved directly in design.
• Apprise Deputy Operations Manager of employee performance on projects.
• Provide staffing information for future projects.
• Assist in informal development of other employees.
