Job summary

Parsons is hiring for a Roadway Engineer I to support major regional road and highway projects in the Kansas City area. This is a remote role reporting to the Kansas City roadway group.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, use AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation/OpenRoads to develop designs, perform calculations, and assist with reports and materials requisitions. A road/highway background and EIT certification are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of road/highway project experience.
• EIT certification is essential.
• PE registration is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers on roadway design assignments.
• Use drafting and modeling software to develop conceptual and detailed designs.
• Perform design calculations and cost estimates for projects.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
• Prepare requisitions for materials, services, and subcontracts.
• Support other responsibilities as needed.
