Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist to contribute to roadway design and project planning within the Roadway Design Team. You will prepare and review studies, plans, and estimates for highway projects under the ADOT Five-Year Construction Program.

The role supports remote work within Arizona and requires strong knowledge of civil engineering, roadway design, and ADOT design guidelines.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Experience in roadway design and project development processes.
• Knowledge of ADOT guidelines and federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway designs, plans, and estimates per guidelines.
• Coordinate with project teams, utilities, ROW, and environmental planning.
• Prepare earthwork calculations, cross sections, and cost estimates.
