Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a registered nurse case manager to work remotely as a telecommuter. You will coordinate medical services, advocate for injured workers, and partner with employers, providers, and claims teams to facilitate recovery and a timely return to work.

You will apply clinical knowledge in complex cases, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in the United States.
• BSN degree from an accredited college or university.
• Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing or related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing clinical assessment via telephone to evaluate the injured worker’s condition and needs.
• Effectively communicates with claims examiner, client, injured worker, attorney and supervisor.
• Identify issues delaying recovery and return to work, and problem-solve with creative thinking; negotiate treatment and disability duration with providers.
• Maintain client privacy and confidentiality, adhere to ethical and regulatory standards, and promote patient safety.
• Provide recommendations for alternative clinical resources to support claim resolution.
• Support a remote work environment while advocating for effective medical treatment.
