Job summary

CorVel Corporation is seeking a Telephonic Case Manager to coordinate care for ill or injured individuals and develop cost-effective, personalized care plans. The role uses clinical expertise to assess treatment plans and communicates with physicians, patients, and adjusters to support quality care and timely return to work.

This is a remote role with required RN licensure and 3+ years of clinical experience; URAC certification is expected within 3 years if not already held.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the practicing state is required.
• 3+ years of clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation.
• URAC recognized Case Management certification to be obtained within 3 years if not present at hire.
• Strong clinical background in orthopedics/neurology or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical case management coordinating with the patient, physician, other providers, employer and referral source.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress.
• Evaluate treatment plan for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness.
• Discuss current or alternate treatment plans with the physician and other parties.
• Prepare organized reports within designated timeframes.
