Job summary

CorVel Corporation seeks a Telephonic Case Manager to coordinate resources and develop cost-effective, personalized care plans for ill or injured individuals. You will assess treatment plans, communicate with physicians, and explain medical plans to patients and adjusters.

This is a remote role with responsibilities across the case management team. Qualified candidates have an RN license, 3+ years clinical experience (rehabilitation preferred), and URAC case management certification within 3

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN Licensure in state of operation.
• 3+ years of recent clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation.
• URAC-recognized Case Management certification to be obtained within 3 years if not already held.
• Strong clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical case management coordinating with patient, physician, and employer.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress.
• Evaluate treatment plan for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness.
• Discuss current and alternative plans with physician using medical knowledge.
• Recommend medical treatment options to payer.
• Coordinate delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
• Devise cost-effective strategies for medical care.
• Prepare organized reports within required timeframes.
• Maintain productivity standards (minimum 95% monthly).
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
