Job summary

CorVel Corporation seeks a Telephonic Case Manager to coordinate patient care, assess treatment plans, and work with physicians, payers, and employers. This is a remote role based in New Jersey.

You will apply clinical expertise to evaluate treatment plans for medical necessity, discuss options with providers, and help negotiate cost-effective care while preparing reports and supporting timely return-to-work goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, RN licensure in state of operation.
• 3+ years of clinical experience, rehabilitation preferred.
• URAC or similar case management certification preferred to be obtained within 3 years.
• Strong cost containment background and ability to discuss treatment options with payers.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical case management coordinating with patient, physician, employer and referral source.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient progress.
• Evaluate treatment plan for medical necessity and cost effectiveness.
• Discuss current and alternative plans with physician and payer as needed.
• Coordinate delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
• Prepare organized reports within specified timeframes.
