Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) for remote work serving US territories including NC. The RMSD will be a credentialed scientific expert engaging with external leaders on scientific exchange, clinical research, congress support, and insights.

Requires 3+ years in Oncology/Urology and strong stakeholder management. Primary duties include scientific discussions, education alignment, and policy-compliant communications with Scientific Leaders, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Clinical (patient care) or research experience beyond degree program.
• Field-based MSL experience.
• 3+ years in Oncology or Urology.
• Ability to discuss complex topics with external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional relationships with national/regional Urology SLs.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain company contacts.
• Address scientific questions outside RMSD scope and direct to appropriate resources.
• Review HQ-directed education to maintain current knowledge.
• Engage in scientific congresses and gather insights.
