Job summary

Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) to lead scientific exchange with external medical leaders. The role emphasizes accurate scientific communications, clinical research liaison, and congress support within the Urology and Oncology spaces.

The RMSD will address questions, train and mentor field teams, and ensure compliance with FDA/HIPAA and GCP guidelines while supporting Investigator Studies and Company-sponsored trials.

Qualifications

• Clinical (patient care) or research experience in Oncology or Urology.
• Field-based MSL experience in the therapeutic area.
• Minimum 3 years of therapeutic experience in Oncology or Urology.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related guidelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional relationships with national and regional Urology SLs to access medical information.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain a medical contact within the company.
• Address SL inquiries on issues outside RMSD scope and direct to appropriate resources.
• Review HQ-directed education to stay current with scientific and clinical developments.
• Engage in Scientific Congresses and gather insights from meetings.
• Provide scientific exchange and insights while adhering to GMSA policies.
