Job summary
Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) to lead scientific exchange with national and regional SLs in Oncology/Urology.
The role emphasizes non-promotional medical information, education, and collaboration with Clinical Research and global medical affairs teams. Qualifications
- PhD, PharmD, DNP or MD required.
- Extensive experience in medical affairs or field-based liaison roles.
- Multiple years in Oncology or Urology therapeutic areas.
- Ability to lead scientific discussions with external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA guidelines and related regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop professional relationships with national and regional SLs for access to scientific information.
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain medical contacts with SLs.
- Address scientific questions and route inquiries outside RMSD scope to proper resources.
- Review and stay current with HQ-directed education and training materials.
- Liaise between scientific community and company to support trials and investigator studies.
