Job summary

Sentry Insurance Agency is expanding its risk control team and seeks a self-motivated risk control professional. The role focuses on comprehensive risk assessments, hazard analysis, and safety program development across various industries.

Home-based with moderate travel and strong client interaction drive profitable risk profiles for underwriting. Successful candidates will partner with Underwriting, deliver advanced risk management services, and conduct safety seminars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-5 years of safety consulting or related roles.
• Ability to work from home with strong organizational skills.
• OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and DOT knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel (50%), including overnight.
• Pursuit of CSP or other designations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite safety evaluations to identify exposure controls.
• Develop maintenance programs for key equipment and systems.
• Assess building protections for occupancy and hazards.
• Prepare detailed risk reports for Property, Liability, Auto, and Workers’ Comp.
• Assist in safety policy development for accounts.
• Provide advanced risk management services to clients.
• Lead OSHA 10-hour seminars for Regional construction.
• Demonstrate expertise in property, liability, fleet, and employee safety.
• Develop safety seminars to reduce claims.
• Create service proposals for qualified accounts.
