Job summary

Sentry Insurance seeks a Risk Control professional capable of conducting comprehensive safety and risk assessments across diverse industries. The role supports underwriting with analytical risk opinions and travel within NC/VA, with a home-based work option.

Builds relationships with agents and policyholders, delivering safety seminars and training to enhance value-added service. Ideal candidates will have safety/OSHA knowledge, strong communication, and the drive to manage multiple accounts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field preferred.
• Experience in insurance safety consulting or safety work in industry preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite facility evaluations to assess exposures and preventive maintenance.
• Evaluate facility protections and fire safety systems for occupancies.
• Prepare detailed risk reports for underwriting teams across lines of business.
• Assist clients with safety policies, programs and procedures.
• Provide advanced risk management consultancy to assigned accounts.
• Conduct OSHA 10-hour seminars and site safety inspections.
• Develop and deliver safety/risk management seminars and training.
• Create service proposals and plans for qualified accounts.
