Actalent is seeking an RF Microwave Engineer to design, develop, test and integrate RF/microwave systems. The role involves hardware troubleshooting, documenting engineering work, and supporting transitions to production. U.S.

citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is required. The position is contract-to-hire, based in Dallas, TX, and described as fully remote. It offers engagement across Northrop depot and USAF collaboration, with growth opportunities in RF system design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MATLAB and data processing of large datasets.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience with RF performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test RF/microwave systems and perform hardware integration.
• Troubleshoot hardware and determine root causes for failures.
• Support transitions from design to production and maintain ISO-aligned processes.
• Create engineering documentation (specifications, BOMs, test procedures).
• Interface with internal/external customers and present findings.
• Subsystem and system integration, and conduct Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
• Analyze hardware down to register level and optimize performance.
