Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist II to support Patient Financial Services. You will review and resubmit medical claims, follow up on accounts, and maintain accurate billing data.

You will handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while upholding compliance and customer service standards. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hospital billing or collections, strong English communication, and proficiency with MS Office, Emdeon and CS-Link.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years' hospital or professional billing/collections experience; four+ years preferred.
• Effective English reading, writing and speaking.
• Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal and other payors is a plus.
• Basic math, data entry and keyboard skills; multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and resubmit claims to third-party payors and follow up on accounts.
• Maintain accurate data entry and update account information as needed.
• Follow payment timeline protocols and escalate issues to a supervisor.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and ethical behavior.
• Utilize Cedars-Sinai core billing systems efficiently.
• Participate in department meetings and suggest process improvements.
