Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist II to support Patient Financial Services. The role involves reviewing and resubmitting claims, following up on accounts, and ensuring data accuracy across billing systems. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential.

The position offers remote work options for approved states, with emphasis on accuracy, timely follow-up, and adherence to policies. Experience with payors and privacy guidelines is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with hospital or professional billing and/or collections preferred; 2+ years.
• Strong English reading/writing and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medi-Cal or other payors is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of CS-specific systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and resubmit claims to third party payors and perform account follow-up.
• Update information on accounts and monitor payment timelines.
• Communicate with patients and payors to resolve discrepancies.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in billing systems and queues.
• Provide back-up support and assist teammates as needed.
