UVA Health is seeking a Manager, Revenue Cycle to lead the Professional Billing team, focusing on insurance denials, underpayments, payer policy analysis, and revenue recovery. You will drive proactive denial-prevention strategies across the organization while partnering with clinical and operational leaders in a primarily remote work environment.

The role requires strong leadership, payer expertise, and a track record of improving reimbursement processes within healthcare revenue cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Management and/or supervisory experience in healthcare or similar customer-focused environment.
• Professional billing experience.
• Experience with insurance claims, denials, reimbursement, or revenue cycle operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team focused on denial management and underpayment resolution.
• Research and resolve complex reimbursement and payer escalation issues.
• Collaborate with Epic teams to ensure payer requirements reflected in workflows.
• Drive accountability and follow-through on complex reimbursement initiatives.
• Support denial prevention through proactive policy review and operational improvements.
