Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health or Business Administration or equivalent
• 4+ years of progressively complex facility and/or professional billing experience
• Knowledge of Epic billing system
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Zoom
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to lead and mentor staff

Responsibilities

• Lead the unit's daily operations, including workload management, priority setting, redistribution of assignments, and timekeeping
• Provide expert guidance on AR collections for physician and hospital billing across multiple clinical specialties
• Develop, train and mentor staff on AR collection processes
• Coordinate and lead payer team meetings to resolve issues
• Respond to complex inquiries regarding insurance billing and follow-up from staff and stakeholders
• Lead team huddles to identify and resolve billing issues
• Perform monthly, quarterly, yearly staff evaluations
• Monitor denial trends and payer issues
• Monitor AR work queues to ensure timely work
• Support unit Director and AR Manager in oversight of billing and collections
