Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Operations professional to submit billing data, research and appeal denied claims, and manage claims transmission using standard software. The role supports the lifecycle from documentation to payment reconciliation, working under supervision within a healthcare operations setting.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years' experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working both independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
