Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a driven Revenue Cycle Specialist to support the end-to-end billing process for US healthcare providers. You will submit documentation and claims, research denials, and transmit claims using electronic and paper systems while ensuring timely follow-up on unpaid accounts.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and meeting tight deadlines, with an hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits. Prior experience in Cardinal Health at Home operations is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or bachelor's degree in business-related field preferred.
• 2+ years' experience in Revenue Cycle Management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers.
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims.
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame.
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary.
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness.
