Job summary

Tegria is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to support healthcare clients by assessing revenue cycle integrity and workflows, identifying systemic issues, and developing process solutions. You will research root causes, analyze data, and present findings to drive improvements in billing and reimbursement.

This role involves collaborating with hospital revenue cycle departments, creating non-standard reports, and contributing to training on MEDITECH AR and related vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Information Management, Accounting, Math, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years revenue cycle analysis or related experience.
• Experience mentoring less experienced team members.
• Solid knowledge of third-party billing requirements and HIPAA 837/835.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA and compliance.
• W2 consultants must provide a compliant computing device.

Responsibilities

• Conduct revenue cycle assessments and identify issues or opportunities for improvement; design solutions.
• Research root causes of designated initiatives that affect timely billing and reimbursement; analyze data and present findings clearly.
• Collaborate with customer Revenue Cycle departments to implement improvements.
• Analyze billing data and run trend analysis to improve billing.
• Create non-standard reports to identify trends and systemic issues.
• Develop training materials and provide software/process training on MEDITECH AR and third-party vendors.
• Assist in processing and troubleshooting medical claims with insurers.
• Keep updated on billing and benefit changes for third-party carriers.
