Job summary

INNERGY is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to own and scale revenue accounting, ASC 606 compliance, and contract accounting for a growing SaaS business. You will partner with finance, sales, legal, and customer teams to ensure accurate, scalable revenue processes and controls across software, subscriptions, and services.

The role is remote and open to many US states; the ideal candidate brings CPA experience, 5+ years of revenue accounting, and strong ERP/billing/CRM skills to drive close

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful revenue accounting.
• CPA or public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing SaaS or software contracts and complex arrangements.
• Experience closing month-end and quarter-end periods with accuracy.
• Familiarity with ERP, billing, CRM and revenue automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment for software, subscriptions, services.
• Manage revenue-related month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance and Customer teams on non-standard contracts and pricing.
• Develop and maintain technical accounting memos and documentation.
• Support forecasting and reporting by providing revenue visibility and drivers.
• Identify opportunities to automate revenue processes and strengthen controls.
• Assist audits with revenue recognition documentation and contract accounting.
• Serve as internal expert on ASC 606 and revenue accounting.
