Job summary

Follett Software, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Recognition & Compliance professional to ensure ASC 606 compliance and robust revenue processes. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue systems, review contracts, and support close processes.

The role emphasizes technical accounting expertise, risk assessment, and GAAP alignment, with a fully remote setup spanning the continental U.S. and strong emphasis on process improvement and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience.
• Must possess technical accounting expertise.
• Ability to provide senior management with risk assessments for actions they are considering or taken.
• Possess advanced computer skills and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and experience leading ASC 606 implementation projects.
• Possess strong attention to details and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to resolve complex problems with independent action.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606 and GAAP guidance.
• Establish and maintain SSP pricing frameworks.
• Record and review quarterly revenue adjustments and open item calculations.
• Draft technical accounting white papers and develop revenue policies.
• Review credit impacts and assess need for credit reserves per standards.
• Conduct detailed RFP/contract reviews for proper revenue treatment.
• Perform monthly consolidation revenue reconciliations from Oracle to G/L.
• Support quarterly/annual close processes related to revenue.
