Job summary

Follett Software is hiring for a Revenue Recognition & Compliance role focused on ASC 606 compliance, SSP pricing, and revenue reporting. The position involves collaboration across finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition, policy development, and close processes.

Fully remote with benefits and strong growth potential. The ideal candidate has a accounting degree, 5+ years in revenue accounting, and excels at analytical problem solving and risk assessment for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience in revenue accounting or related area.
• Must possess technical accounting expertise (ASC 606).
• Ability to provide senior management with risk assessments for actions they are considering or taken.
• Advanced computer skills and ASC 606 implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition activities in compliance with ASC 606 and GAAP guidance.
• Establish and maintain SSP pricing frameworks.
• Record and review quarterly revenue adjustments and open item calculations.
• Draft technical accounting white papers and develop revenue policies.
• Review contract terms to determine revenue recognition treatment.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of revenue from Oracle to the General Ledger.
• Support quarterly and annual close processes related to revenue.
• Assist with external audits and enhance internal controls for revenue.
